Episode 24 – The Beatles Part 1 – Wonderful Christmastime
Welcome to another episode.
This episode is part 1 of a 3 part series on the Christmas offerings from the members of the Beatles. In this episode we look at Paul McCartney’s Wonderful Christmastime.
I’ll show you 6 other versions you may like.
And I’ll touch on some changes being made to the format of Tinsel Tunes for the 2020 season. They’re all good, I promise.

Duane is the podcast host and creator of this website.
Duane, Great show. I too, grew up listening to “Wonderful Christmas Time”. Unlike you, I was a Pop fan all the way and loved McCartney and Wings (found out later he was one of the Beatles!). I always loved the song, but I will admit as I got older I wished it had at least one more verse or something to make it slightly less repetitive. For a nice twist on the song, I recommend Straight No Chaser’s a cappella version from “Under The Influence: Holiday Edition” with guest artist Paul McCartney! While I’m at it; I recommend all 5 Straight No Chaser’s Holiday albums.
Keep up the great work, can’t wait for the next one.
Thanks for the comment. I will check out the song ASAP.
Cheers
Hi, Duane. I’ve been trying to get caught up on some podcasts so I’m just now listening to this. I’ve never been a big fan of “Wonderful Christmastime,” however, one version that’s not so bad is Dweezil Zappa’s. It’s from the same album that had Tommy Tutone’s Christmas version of “867-5309 (Jenny),” so it’s worth hunting down.
You are right. I like it. I’m going to take a listen to the whole album. Thanks for the recommendation. 🙂
